Clean Air Power designs, develops and delivers Dual-FuelTM and second generation MicroPilot engine systems to enable heavy-duty, compression-ignited engines to run on natural gas mixed with small quantities of diesel to act as the ‰ŰĎspark‰Ű that ignites the gas.
By substituting natural gas for diesel, the Group's engine systems can reduce fuel costs and lower emissions of carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and particulates, as well as having a distinct competitive advantage over other types of natural gas engine by retaining the base diesel engine's power, efficiency and reliability characteristics.

Dual-Fuel

Clean Air Power has pioneered the move towards natural gas by developing Dual-Fuel‰ă˘ technology. Benefits include significant fuel cost savings for operators and lower carbon emissions ‰ŰŇ with no compromise on diesel engine performance.

Dual-Fuel‰ă˘ systems have been developed for commercial vehicle operators as an after-market, retro-fit called Genesis and Genesis EDGE, but also as a fully integrated OEM technology. For Genesis trucks, the electronic control system communicates with the vehicle control system, regulating fuel supply while retaining all vehicle systems such as cruise control, traction control and electronic gear shifting.

Interfaced Dual-Fuel‰ă˘ technology works in partnership with the OEM engine. The control system is directly interfaced with the manufacturer's engine controller, giving ultimate control to the Dual-Fuel system. This delivers the highest levels of performance and gas substitution with the lowest certified emissions.  

Components & Remissions

Clean Air Power has a reputation for making innovative, durable and reliable components. And for selling them to the world's most discerning clients for the most demanding commercial vehicle applications. They are the cornerstone for helping achieve real reductions in emissions from road transport, a concern for business, governments and wider society. These includes greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, a by-product of burning fossil fuels. But also air quality emissions, such as carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and diesel particulates (or soot).

Clean Air Power products include hydraulic valves, gas injectors, shut off valves, coalescing filters: natural gas components and filtration components.
