Autometrix is a family owned company based in beautiful Grass Valley, CA where we manufacture our products locally. The company was established in 1979 as Marine Computer Systems and changed it's name to Autometrix in 1989.

Autometrix is a high tech manufacturing company that provides world class patterning and cutting solutions to many different industries such as awnings, tents, garment, automobile, furnishing, aerospace, sporting and medical goods manufacturers.

Products and Services

Autometrix manufactures automated cutting machines for rolled goods all the way from fabric to carbon fiber. The existing machine models are Aragon, Radium, Advantage and Catalyst. The patterning, editing and nesting software PatternSmith comes with a variety of tools and add-on options. And, finally, CadShot is the unique Digitizing solution that allows physical patterns to be instantly digitized.

Autometrix received the Equipment and Tools "Show Stopper" award from IFAI (International Fabrics Association International) for our products "Templates" in 2018 and "CADShot Mobile" in 2016.

Manufacturing Processes

Autometrix has it's headquarters, as well as manufacturing facilities, located in Grass Valley, CA. We have a machine shop where we build many of our own parts, as well as assembly and production bays where all the machines are manufactured and shipped from.

Autometrix employs mechanical, electrical and software engineers and all of its R&D, fabrication, building, crating and shipping is done in this location. Even our high quality shipping crates are produced in-house!
