We are passionate about tortillas and tortilla chips! Founded in 1969, we began making authentic corn and flour tortillas. Located in Fresno, California, our mission is to develop, produce, and market grain-based food products domestically and internationally. We now have over 180 employees and produce a full line of tortilla products. La Tapatia Tortilleria, Inc. remains a family owned business and hopes to continue its success for generations to come.
Our product line includes tortillas, tortilla chips, flavored wraps, tostadas and masa. Our products can be found in grocery stores, restaurants and schools throughout the U.S. We also export to Asia and South America. Tortillas have become an international sensation! We also distribute under the name Sol de Oro and co-pack for other well-known brands. Our president Helen Chavez-Hansen was inducted into the Tortilla Industry Association (TIA) Hall of Fame in September 2012.

Our process replicates the artesian method of hand-made tortillas, from our hand carved stones that grind our corn masa to our custom made recipes for flour tortillas. We use locally grown commodities and high quality ingredients to manufacture an array of Non-GMO, gluten free, organic, whole wheat, low carb, and lower sodium products.
