Modern offers in house drilling and taping services. We have specialized equipment such as Semi-Automatic Wax Injection Molding Machines, Solid State 200 KW Induction Melting Furnaces, Overhead Sand Systems and a Super Bowl Sand Mixer programmed to handle two No Bake Sand Systems, one each for Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Sand Castings.

Providing a Casting Choice, MPF produces Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Castings with Precision Investment or Sand Casting processes. Utilizing both processes provides our customers with two metal casting companies under one roof. Having both Investment and Sand Casting processes in one facility makes it possible for our design engineers to offer the best cost saving design and quotation for each of the two casting processes.

Manufacturing Processes

Which casting process is best? The volume of parts is not a critical factor in choosing the best casting process but the secondary manufacturing steps are. These secondary steps can add substantially to the cost of a manufactured part. Therefore using the casting process that reduces or eliminates the secondary processes is most critical.

Investment Casting is the process that is most effective at reducing the requirement for secondary manufacturing steps, therefore lowering the cost of parts. Investment Casting also offers the following advantages: better design flexibility for parts with complex shapes, weight reduction, close tolerances, better surface finish, zero draft, minimum mismatch, and casting repeatability.

If your part doesn't require most of the advantages of the Investment Casting process shown above, you should consider the less costly Sand Casting process.
