Founded in 1999, Left Coast Engineering offers full-service, custom electronic product design and R&D resources for both new and next-gen technologies from product concept to production in areas of hardware, software, wireless, fluidics, mechanical and Radio Frequency (RF) design. This design support includes product definition, certification testing, production test, validation/verification, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, and intellectual property protection. The company supports a variety of clients in the commercial, industrial, medical and military spaces, having supported more than 250+ new products into production.

Left Coast Engineering has hefty experience and has led nearly 2 dozen issued patents. LCE has expertise in maximizing battery utilization, hardware and software design, I/C's, challenging wireless features including extending range, RF design, cellular design, IOT, specific mesh networking, location-aware technology, fluidics, sensor integration, electronics for environmental sensing/detecting, reverse engineering, and designing for Size, Weight and Power Reduction (SWaP,) as well as much more. Companies also have been seeking our help with redesigning their electronics to use currently available components to get their designs back into production.

Manufacturing Processes

LCE specializes in custom electronic product design, reverse engineering and rapid prototyping in the R&D space, designing ground-up, proof-of-concepts all the way up to high-volume production units with full manufacturing documentation. LCE also can complete low-volume builds of 30-1,000 units, in-house.
