Partnerships involve a shared commitment and a leveraging of capacities beyond what would be possible if each partner were working alone. With the combining of resources, capabilities and core competencies, together we can provide small and mid-sized manufacturers consulting and technical services that allow manufacturers to sustain, grow and develop a competitive edge in today’s difficult economy.

Workforce Training Partnerships and Affiliations

CMTC is committed to the development of a highly skilled workforce that will sustain California's economic vitality. CMTC partners with some of the top training, economic development and industry associations in the state – including the California Employment Training Panel (ETP), to offset the cost of bringing high quality, customized, on-site training to manufacturing companies. CMTC recognizes the vital role that IT services firms play in supporting the manufacturing community. CMTC’s IT Associate community provides enterprise technology solutions that will drive efficiency and simplicity for manufacturers. The Advanced Manufacturing Partnership for Southern California (AMP SoCal)

 

 

The goal of AMP SoCal is to strengthen the industrial ecosystem for Southern California aerospace and defense manufacturers and their supply chain through the provision of tools, talent, and capacity to master the future. We are committed to make our companies the most productive and efficient in the world, so that they can compete and win in the global marketplace. We are a collaboration of government, academia and industry united in the common goal of strengthening the industrial ecosystem for aerospace and defense (A&D) manufacturers throughout the 10-county Southern California region – an A&D industry cluster and a federally designated manufacturing community since 2014.

The USC Center for Economic Development (CED), an applied research center of the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, leads the AMP SoCal effort in partnership with the City of Los Angeles and more than 135 companies and organizations from both public and private sectors. The AMP SoCal network leverages the combined knowledge, innovation and political support of its members to accomplish its goal of supporting the A&D industry. AMP SoCal initiatives address needs in workforce and training, advanced technology adoption, research and development and business assistance.
