A19 will open its doors and invites members of its community to observe how we make ceramic wall sconces and pendant lighting fixtures first-hand. There will be an opportunity to play with our clay for those who want to get dirty.

In celebration of Manufacturing Day, Precision Molded Plastics will be hosting a facility tour on Friday, October 5, 2018. Manufacturing Day Expo offering junior high and high school students in the William S. More than 1,000 students from across the Hart School District will travel to College of the Canyons to enjoy dynamic activities conducted by many SCV advanced technology partners such as Lockheed Martin, PPG Industries, Gantom Lighting & Controls/ZTAG, Advanced Bionics, sPOD (car lights & sounds), CA Highway Patrol Air Operations, LSL Instruments (guitars), Chocolates a la Carte, Schit Audio and Remo Drums. Students will meet current robotics competitors, NASA HASP (High Altitude Student Payload), and have hands-on engineering and fabrication activities in COC’s FabLab and MakerSpace.

International Trade Education Programs (ITEP) is a Southern California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that connects high school students to careers. Through partnerships with industry and educators, ITEP prepares high school students for careers in high-wage and high-growth job sectors through career exploration activities, industry mentoring, summer internships, and college scholarships.
